The San Gabriel Valley 4-H Fair is under the management of the Fair Board and the UCCE LA County 4-H. Members of the Fair Board are elected by and from members and leaders in North and South San Gabriel Districts. Fair rules and regulations are stated in the Premium Book and current Fly Sheets.

4-H IS:
* A learn-by-doing, non formal, coeducational program sponsored by the University of California Land Grant Colleges, the United States Department of Agriculture and Los Angeles County.
* Youth planning and initiating their own action programs with the help of adult volunteer leaders.
* A chance for youth to develop as persons, share as citizens and practice leadership.
