Friday, April 24, 2009

3:00 PM – All departmenst and any persons available to set-up equipment and tables. EXHIBITS DUE: 4:30-8:00 PM Friday & 7:30-8:30 AM Saturday Foods & Nutrition, Home Arts & Furnishings, Child Care & Clothing, Table Setting, Feature Booths and all other divisions not designated elsewhere. Beginning 4-H and Primary will be accepted with all other entries.

FRIDAY, APRIL 24, 2009

3:00 PM – All department and any persons available to set-up equipment and tables.

EXHIBITS DUE:
4:30-8:00 PM Friday & 7:30-8:30 AM Saturday
Foods & Nutrition, Home Arts & Furnishings, Child Care & Clothing, Table Setting, Feature Booths and all other divisions not designated elsewhere. Beginning 4-H and Primary will be accepted with all other entries.
4:30-8 PM – Small & Large Livestock, check in for all Small Livestock, except dogs, starts at 4:30 PM.
4:30-8 PM - **Baked goods for auction
8:00 PM – Building Closes
10:00 PM – Property gates locked

SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 2009

7:30 AM – Food Concession Open – Breakfast
7:30-8:30 AM – Exhibits accepted
8-10AM - **Baked goods for auction accepted
8:30 AM – Livestock Judging begins: Showmanship Classes will be first followed by Quality. Senior Showmanship will proceed Junior.
8:30 AM – ALL ENTRIES MUST BE IN PLACE
8:30 AM – Judges Orientation
9:00 AM – Judging of Rabbits, Cavies, Poultry, and Small Livestock displays, including 4-H Primary members. Showmanship to follow.
9:00 AM – Judging of exhibits in main building
9AM-4PM – Vendor Fair
10AM-12Noon – Activities & Games & Crafts
11:30 AM – Fair Court Alumni Recognition
11:30 AM – Fair Court Lunch Basket Auction
12noon-1PM – Judging and Activities stopped for lunch hour
Food concessions open until 4:00 PM
The funds generated by these activities are used to finance this fair. Please give your support.
1:00 PM – AUCTION
2:00 PM – 4-H Alumni & Adult Entry Deadline
2:00-3:00 PM –  Homing Pigeon  Show
3:00-4:00 PM –  Activities
4:00 PM – Star Performers Show
4:00 PM – Food Concession Closed
5:00 PM – BARBECUE DINNER
7:00-9:00 PM – AN EVENING OF FUN
10:00 PM – Grounds closed; Only those with qualified permits may stay in designated areas after closing.

9:00 AM – Large Livestock Activities.  Please refer to posters and listen for announcements.
9:00 AM – Goat Lead, Beef & Beaus Lead, Lads & Ladies Lead, Cotton & Cream Lead
9:00 AM – Dog Show
9:00 AM – Ideal Kid’s Lunch Contest Check-In
9:15 AM - Ideal Kid’s Lunch Contest Judging Begins
10:00 AM – Round Robin – Senior, Intermediate, Junior, City Slickers, and Parents/Leaders
10:30 AM – Primary members make Hobby Horses
11: 00 AM – Cat Show
12:00 PM – Primary Hobby Horse Show
12:30 PM – Auction – Funds generated by this activity are used to help finance this fair.

1:00 PM – Video of Fair Pictures in main building
1:30 PM – Food Concession open for drinks and snacks, Grill closed
2:00 PM – Presentation of San Gabriel Valley 4-H Fair Awards

AFTER AWARDS PROGRAM, ENTRIES MAY BE CHECKED OUT.

**Baked goods for auction can be entered by all 4-H members, alumni, leaders, families and friends.

EXHIBIT RELEASE NOTE – Sunday when awards program ends. No large or small livestock will be released until all pens and cages are removed and the areas are completely cleaned.
